13 DAYS UGANDA WILDLIFE SAFARI
This safari features the best of Uganda with a glimpse at the rhinos of Zziwa, the magnificent Murchison falls, the hippos of the Nile, the birds of Kazinga channel, the salt lick a magnificent site viewed from an observation point in lake Mburo and a cultural hint of the local Batwa pygmies.
Day 1: Airport pickup
Meet at the Airport dinner and overnight at Golf course hotel/Cassia lodge/The lodge
Day 2: transfer to Zziwa rhino sanctuary and Murchison Falls National Park.
After breakfast drive to Zziwa Rhino sanctuary for Rhino viewing, proceed to Murchison Falls National Park stopping in Masindi for lunch. You will visit the top of the falls and check in at Sambiya River Lodge or Red Chili Camp. Dinner and overnight at Paraa lodge/Sambiya river lodge/Red Chilli rest camp
Day 3: Game viewing and wildlife seeing in Murchison Falls
Go for an early morning game drive. In the afternoon take a boat cruise on River Nile up to the bottom of the falls, you may see various water birds like the rare shoebill and animals like hippos and crocodiles. You will return to Paraa lodge/Sambiya river lodge/Red Chilli rest camp for dinner and overnight
Day 4: Murchison falls to Kibale/Fort Portal
You will have an early morning game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast and then drive to Fort Portal. Dinner and overnight at Primate Lodge/Primate cottages/ Chimpanzee guest house
Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast you will go for gorilla tracking, return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon you will visit Bigodi Swamp Eco site sanctuary. Dinner and overnight at Primate Lodge/Primate cottages/ Chimpanzee guest house
Day 6: Semliki National Park and Queen Elizabeth Park
After breakfast you will visit Semliki National park to the see the Sempaya hot springs. Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Dinner and overnight at Mweya safari lodge/Hippo hill camp/Simba safari camp
Day 7: Boat cruising and game viewing in Queen Elizabeth
You will go for an early morning game drive along the Kasenyi tracks and Queens’ mile to spot the morning dwellers. Return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon you will take a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel. Return to Mweya safari lodge/Hippo hill camp/Simba safari camp for dinner and overnight
Day 8: Queen Elizabeth National Park - Bwindi.
You will go for an early morning game drive. During the drive you will be able to see various animals like the lions, elephants, Uganda cobs and so many others. After the drive you will return to the lodge for breakfast and then lunch. After lunch you will drive to Bwindi forest national park. Dinner and overnight at the Gorilla resort/Engagi lodge/Buhoma bandas
Day 9: Gorilla tracking - Bwindi Forest
Gorilla tracking activity begins very early in the morning. After an early morning breakfast you will go for gorilla tracking. During tracking you will be able to see other primates like l’hoest monkey, black and white colobus monkey, red tailed monkey and many others. In the evening you will go for a guided nature walk. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla resort/Engagi lodge/Buhoma bandas
Day 10: village walk-Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast you will transfer to Kabale and visit the Bakiga museum. Dinner and overnight at Acadia cottages /Bird nest at Bunyonyi/Overland camp.
Day 11: Batwa pygmy visit – Lake Mburo
After breakfast you will go take a boat to visit the local Batwa pygmies on Lake Bunyonyi. there after proceed to Lake Mburo. Dinner and overnight at Mantana Tented camp/Arcadia cottages/ Rwonyo rest camp
Day 12: full day Lake Mburo
After break fast you will go for a salt lick nature walk where you will view different animal species lick the salty soil. You will then leave for Kampala. Dinner and overnight at Golf course hotel/Cassia lodge/The lodge
Day 13: departure
Depending on your flight time, you can do a city tour including, handcraft and souvenir shopping, cultural sites, you then transfer to the airport for your departure flight
