19 DAYS UGANDA HIGLIGHTS SAFARI
Day 1: Airport pickup
Meet and greet our company representative on arrival at Entebbe airport. Dinner and overnight at Golf course hotel/Cassia lodge/Tandem hotel
Day 2: white water rafting and the Source of the river Nile
After breakfast you will drive to Jinja to visit the source of the Nile on Lake Victoria, the monument of Gandhi, and then proceed to the spectacular “Bujagali Falls” on the river Nile a few kilometers from the source. You can do white water rafting, have lunch in Jinja town. Dinner and overnight at Jinja Nile resort/ Gately on the Nile
Day 3 - The Sipi Falls
After breakfast you will drive to Sipi falls where you will have a nature walk. Return to Jinja in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Jinja Nile Resort/ Gately on the Nile
Day 4 - The rhinos of Zziwa sanctuary
Leave Jinja early in the morning for Masindi via Kampala. You will stop at Zziwa Rhino sanctuary where you will enjoy a nature walk to see rhinos in the wild. The journey is long but enjoyable as you go through a green countryside with typical Ugandan villages and farms. Dinner and overnight at Zziwa rhino sanctuary
Day 5 - The Murchison Falls National Park
After a relaxed breakfast, proceed to Murchison Falls National Park, the largest protected area in Uganda, named after the falls on the Victoria Nile. You will have lunch at Masindi hotel. Enjoy an afternoon game drive through the northern part of the park where you will be able to spot elephants, lions, cape buffalos, Rothschild’s giraffes, hartebeests, waterbucks, oribi, bushbucks, spotted hyenas and, if you are lucky, leopards. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge/Sambiya river lodge/Red Chilli camp
Day 6 - The boat cruise on the river Nile
Go for an early morning game drive. In the afternoon take a boat cruise on River Nile up to the bottom of the falls, you may see various water birds like the rare shoebill and animals like hippos and crocodiles. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge/Sambiya river lodge/Red Chilli camp
Day 7: Murchison falls to Kibale/Fort Portal
You will have an early morning game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast and then drive to Fort Portal. Dinner and overnight at Primate lodge/Primate cottages/Chimpanzee guest house
Day 8: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast you will go for gorilla tracking, return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon you will visit Bigodi Swamp Eco site sanctuary. Dinner and overnight at Primate lodge/Primate cottages/Chimpanzee guest house
Day 9: Semliki National Park and Queen Elizabeth Park
After breakfast you will visit Semliki National park to the see the hot springs and if possible the pygmies and other primates. Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Dinner and overnight at Mweya safari lodge/Hippo hill camp/Simba safari camp
Day 10: Boat cruising and game viewing in Queen Elizabeth
You will go for an early morning game drive and in the afternoon you will take a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight
Day 11: Queen Elizabeth National Park. - Bwindi.
You will go for an early morning game drive. During the drive you will be able to see various animals like the lions, elephants, Uganda cobs and so many others. After the drive you will return to the lodge for breakfast and then lunch. After lunch you will drive to Bwindi forest national park. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp
Day 12: Gorilla tracking - Bwindi Forest
Gorilla tracking activity begins very early in the morning. After an early morning breakfast you will go for gorilla tracking. During tracking you will be able to see other primates like l’hoest monkey, black and white colobus monkey, red tailed monkey and many others. In the evening you will go for a guided nature walk. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla resort/Buhoma community bandas
Day 13: village walk-Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast you will take a Nature walk/village walk and after lunch transfer to Kabale to overnight at Acadia cottages /Bird nest at Bunyonyi/Bunyonyi overland
Day 14: Kabale – Lake Mburo
After breakfast you will go for a Boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi there after proceed to Lake Mburo. Dinner and overnight at Arcadia cottages/Mantana tented camp/Rwonyo camp
Day 15: salt lick walk and transfer to Kampala
After break fast you will go for a salt lick nature walk where you will view at laesty 4 different animal species lick the salty soil. and then depart for Kampala. Dinner and overnight at the Golf course hotel/Cassia lodge/Tandem hotel
Day 16 - The Ssese Islands of Lake Victoria
After breakfast, drive to Entebbe to board the ferry boat which will take you to Ssese Islands, on Lake Victoria. Meantime you can visit the wonders of the botanical garden in Entebbe. After lunch enjoy the navigation on the lake, which looks like an immense and peaceful sea. You reach the beautiful bay of Lutoboka, in Bugala Island, for dinner and overnight at Mirembe Resort Beach, with a magic location directly on the beach. FB
Day 17 - The wild of Bukasa Island
After breakfast, take a boat to Bukasa Island. You will go through the Ssese Islands and enjoy the beauty of the lake and forested islands. Explore Bukasa Island and have lunch at Victoria View Guest House. Return to Bugala by evening. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. For an alternative: spend the night at Bukasa Island and return to Bugala in the morning. FB
Day 18 - On the beach at Bugala Island
Spend the day relaxing in the uncontaminated and transparent water. You will be fascinated by the pleasant atmosphere. Optional activities: sport fishing, hire a bicycle to explore the island, over night at Mirembe Resort Beach. FB
Day 19 - Kampala City Tour
After breakfast board the ferry boat and return to Entebbe. Spend the afternoon at leisure or craft and souvenir shopping. Transfer to Entebbe International Airport for an evening flight.
