9 DAYS WESTERN UGANDA CYCLING SAFARI
Day one: Arrival and transfer to Kampala - 42km.
On arrival at the airport, you will be met by our guide who will then transfer you to your hotel in Kampala for the dinner and over night
Day Two: Kampala-Lake Mburo
Today morning you will transfer by road 275km via Kampala to the Lake Mburo National Park. After lunch you will go on a late afternoon game drive. Dinner and Over night at the Camp/lodge
Day Three: Lake Mburo National Park - Ndejja 54/89km
Today you will go to the Western Ruiza gate, which will give you a good chance to see more animals in this less visited area of the park. After 62km you will meet up with the bikes at Biharwe, and start riding west on the road. Dinner and overnight at the hotel
Day Four: Ndeija - Kabale 102km
The first part is very similar to the previous day, with long low rolling hills interspersed with low-lying marsh areas and open plains. After about 60km things change as you reach the hills and start to climb - the benefit being the spectacular views! Dinner and overnight at the lodge
Day Five: Kabale 65km, all dirt roads.
You leave Kabale Town towards the gorgeous Lake Bunyonyi, with the small matter of a 470m climb over 10km in the way. The highest part of the ride take you through bamboo forest and then down to the small town of Kisoro, set close to the volcanic peaks of the Virungu Mountains. Dinner and Overnight at the Hotel
Day Six: Kisoro - Ruhengeri 37km
The first 10km to the border are on dirt. After crossing the border you join the smooth tarmac of Rwanda. Dinner and overnight at the lodge/hotel
Day Seven: Gorilla tracking
After breakfast you will go for gorilla tracking. After you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight
Day Eight: Ruhengeri – Kampala
After breakfast in the morning you will drive back to Kampala. Dinner and overnight at the lodge
Day Nine: Departure
After breakfast you will transfer to the airport for your departure flight
